The P0002 diagnostic trouble code indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has detected a problem with the fuel volume regulator control circuit's range or performance.

This means the regulator is not operating within its expected parameters, which could affect fuel delivery and engine performance. Internal failure or sticking of the regulator valve.

Contaminated or inconsistent fuel supply affecting regulator performance.

Faulty ECM unable to properly control or monitor the circuit.

Engine misfire or hesitation.

Decreased fuel efficiency.

Reduced power or acceleration.

Check Engine Light (CEL) illuminated.

The P0002 code can affect fuel economy and may damage the engine. To fix the P0002 code, you may need to replace or repair parts such as the fuel volume regulator, fuel pressure regulator, or fuel pump.
